About this song
Radiohead was approached by director Baz Luhrmann during their 1996 tour to record a song for his film Romeo + Juliet. After seeing the final thirty minutes of the film, the band began working on the song right away. The song was included on OK Computer instead of the film's soundtrack, and it plays during the closing credits.
What it's about
The song is tied to a scene in which a character holds a gun to her head. Its gentle opening builds into an intense, haunting crescendo.
