About this song
The beat on the song interpolates the background vocals from Banks' song "Waiting Game". The producer, Mike Schultz, said he wanted the track to sound edgy, and he described it as having an alternative vibe with urban undertones, built on guitar and dirty live bass.
What it's about
Rihanna sings about a desperado, someone on the run, whether literally or metaphorically. She struggles in the relationship and wonders whether she can run away with him or will be left behind.
