About this song
Jackson recorded Chicago at The Hit Factory in New York City in 1999 for his Invincible album, after songwriter Cory Rooney sent him a scratch demo. The song was originally titled She Was Lovin' Me and was later scrapped from Invincible. Taryll Jackson considered and mixed it for the 2010 album Michael, but it was cut a second time before it eventually appeared on Xscape, with updated production by Timbaland and J-Roc.
