Evil

About this song

"Evil" is the fifth track on Eminem's twelfth studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce). It follows the nightmare at the end of the previous track, "Brand New Dance."

What it's about

Eminem wakes up in a foul mood and sets out to stir up conflict with his mentor Dr. Dre, mistreat animals, and provoke controversy to bring back his "evil" persona. The song touches on sensitive subjects, including the Oxford High School shooting, as he describes how far he is willing to go.
