Hailie's Song

About this song

Eminem wrote the song for his daughter Hailie without planning to release it, and only decided to put it out after people who heard it liked it. It was originally built around an interpolation of The Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", but that had to be reworked after George Harrison's wife declined to clear the sample.

What it's about

The song is an ode to Hailie, celebrating Eminem's ability to keep spending time with her while the two of them shared custody after his custody battles with Kim. It is also notable as an example of Eminem singing.
