Mosh

About this song

Released online as a single just before the 2004 U.S. presidential election, the song opens with children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and ends with children giggling. An animated video for the song shows a U.S. soldier returning home from Baghdad only to be told he must go back. The song expresses anger at George W. Bush for not bringing U.S. troops home from the Iraq War sooner, at a time when many Americans and allies opposed the war.

What it's about

The song is a political protest against the Bush administration's plans to continue the occupation of Iraq and the War on Terror. It urges listeners to examine the hypocrisy of their leaders and to join together to demand that the troops be brought home from what it calls an unconstitutional, illegal war.
