Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe

About this song

The song samples "Tiden Flyver" by Danish electronic group Boom Clap Bachelors, a 2008 tune. It was originally meant to feature Lady Gaga, but she did not end up on the album due to a pre-order deadline, and Gaga later posted the original version on Twitter. The female vocals on the related track "Partynauseous" are performed by Anna Wise instead of Gaga.

What it's about

The song is told from the perspective of present-day Kendrick Lamar, who is unhappy with the state of rap music and wants to stay different by keeping his own vision. He also reflects on his career so far and how it has changed his life, for better or worse.
