About this song
The outro is sampled from a clip of FOX News reporters criticizing Kendrick's performance of "Alright" at the 2015 BET Awards. Kendrick responded to that criticism on TMZ Live, and he talked about the song with Zane Lowe at Coachella, where he kept its deeper meaning to himself.
What it's about
In the song, Kendrick is shot by a blind woman he is trying to help. The blind woman can be seen as representing the consequences of the damnation referenced in the Book of Deuteronomy.
