About this song
The song is named after Yahweh, which is believed to be the closest estimation of God's name. It is the third in a run of songs with the previous tracks "BLOOD." and "DNA." that reference a Fox News segment criticizing Kendrick's 2015 BET Awards performance of "Alright." Here, he goes further by directly calling out reporter Geraldo Rivera.
What it's about
The song makes several religious references, including to the Israelites and the book of Deuteronomy from the Bible. It also refers to Yeshua, mentioned in the previous song "DNA."
