About this song
"Little Engine" is a track by Eminem that uses a sample from Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 album Music to Be Murdered By, specifically the introduction from Hitchcock's "I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance With You." In a 2011 interview with Rolling Stone, Eminem said the title connects to his childhood, when his great-aunt Edna would sometimes read him The Little Engine That Could.
What it's about
The song is a somewhat disturbing track in which Eminem raps about his violent habits, psychological instability, evil intent and drug abuse over an eerie beat.
