About this song
No Love is the third single from Recovery. The beat was produced by Just Blaze and samples Haddaway's 90s pop-techno hit "What Is Love?". Eminem and Lil Wayne had previously worked together on Drake's "Forever" and Eminem had also featured on Wayne's "Drop The World".
What it's about
Fans disagree on the song's main theme, with some seeing it as a personification of hip-hop and others as an extended response to an alleged subtle Lil Wayne diss on Not Afraid. Overall, it is a wake-up call to the rap industry, with Eminem voicing his thoughts about its stagnancy during his hiatus after Encore.
