About this song
"Not Alike" is a track from the Kamikaze album, and it marks another collaboration between Eminem and Royce da 5'9". The first beat was produced by Tay Keith and interpolates Drake and Blocboy JB's "Look Alive," while Ronny J produced the second. Royce had previously featured on Eminem's 1999 album The Slim Shady LP, on "Bad Meets Evil," and the song was released three days before Machine Gun Kelly's response "Rap Devil."
What it's about
The song continues the main theme of Kamikaze by dissing mumble rappers who dominate the industry. Eminem heavily targets Machine Gun Kelly, and imitates the Migos flow from "Bad and Boujee" to show how easily the same flows can be recycled over trap beats.
