About this song
The song is often linked to Canibus's track "Draft Me", which threatens an unnamed rival and voices a wish to fight in the war on terror, and it may have been written as a direct reply to it. The beat sounds somewhat similar to the earlier Eminem song "Bad Influence", which had a beat made by the Bass Brothers. Jeff Bass is credited as a composer on "Square Dance", though Eminem appears to have led the creation of its beat.
What it's about
The track is a diss aimed at Canibus that also carries an anti-draft, anti-war and anti-Bush message.
