Tone Deaf

About this song

Tone Deaf was produced by Eminem himself, with frequent collaborator Luis Resto, who also worked on classic Eminem songs such as Lose Yourself. On March 5, 2021, Eminem released an animated lyric video for the song as a response to Gen Z trying to cancel him.

What it's about

The song opens with Eminem pretending not to hear a caller, a jab at people who called him washed up. Across its three verses and a hook, he mixes dissing the rap game with bragging about his own skills, and the title is a dig at mumble rappers who can't stay on a beat.
