About this song
"Underground" is the final track on Eminem's 2009 album Relapse, which marked his return to music. The song is said to overview the drug addiction Eminem went through during his hiatus, and many listeners consider it one of Slim Shady's best performances after Encore failed to meet many expectations.
What it's about
The song explains where Eminem has been during the years away from music, which can subliminally be read as referring to Hell, while showing that his lyrical skill remains intact.
